Play lawns, pet-friendly turf, and putting greens installed on a properly prepared base — by one licensed team with 40+ years of Bay Area experience.
Twin Palms Landscape installs artificial turf for play lawns, pet-friendly yards, and backyard putting greens. Turf stays green with no watering, which makes it a practical option for areas that are hard to keep looking good or where you would rather not irrigate a lawn. We are licensed and insured (C27 #655747) with 40+ years of Bay Area installation experience.
Projects start with a free on-site visit where we measure the area, look at grading and drainage, note how the space will be used — kids, pets, putting, or just a clean green lawn — and discuss turf options that fit that use.
Installation starts with removing the existing lawn or ground cover and grading the area. We build and compact a base, set edging or borders, then lay, seam, and secure the turf and finish it with infill where the product calls for it. A good base is what keeps turf looking even over time, so we do not rush that step.
Because the same team handles irrigation and planting, we can cap or reroute sprinkler lines that served the old lawn and keep surrounding planting beds watered. Turf, planted borders, and irrigation are planned together instead of by separate contractors.
We work throughout Marin County, including Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, Larkspur, Ross, San Anselmo, and Sausalito, and across the wider San Francisco to Petaluma area.
It can be. We offer pet-friendly turf options and plan the base and drainage with pets in mind. Occasional rinsing helps keep pet areas fresh.
No regular watering is needed to keep turf green. Some homeowners rinse it occasionally to clear dust or pet areas, and planted borders around the turf still need their own irrigation.
We remove the existing lawn and prepare the ground before installing turf. Sprinkler lines that are no longer needed can be capped or rerouted to water nearby planting beds.
Yes. We install backyard putting greens as well as play lawns and general turf areas, and we can work them into the surrounding planting and hardscape.
